Role Summary
As a successful Senior Software Engineer (Cloud Platform) you will build and improve the tooling
that automates and orchestrates our multi-tenant, multi-datacenter, and multi-cloud infrastructure,
platforms, and services. You will deliver private and public cloud-based service offerings. You will build
services to enable small teams to operate huge infrastructures with diverse security, compliance, and
customer requirements. Your platform services will support company-developed service integration,
automation, testing, deployments, and ongoing operations. You will write code to develop tools that
support the full software lifecycle. You will interact with users to define system requirements and/or
vital modifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop cloud automation scripts using Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell for cloud resource provisioning and configuration management.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure deployments using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Deploy and optimize cloud workloads on GCP, AWS, or Azure, including Compute,
- Networking, Storage, IAM, and Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS).
- Implement cloud security best practices, enforce IAM policies, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage VMware-based workloads in hybrid cloud environments, including Google
- Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE), vSphere, NSX-T, and vSAN.
- Design and optimize cloud networking solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues using Cloud Logging, Cloud
- Monitoring, Prometheus, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to improve cloud efficiency and workflows.
- Stay updated on cloud trends, automation tools, and DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform (preferred), Pulumi, or similar IaC technologies.
- 3+ years of experience with Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and cloud infrastructure scripting.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and their services.
- 3+ years developing automation tools, RESTful web services, or APIs.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Bachelors degree in computer science or similar field
- Strong English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices.
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS).
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud and VMware technologies (vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, GCVE).
- Foundational understanding of ITIL and associated processes
- Experience with designing, developing, and testing complex software solutions to support distributed, scalable and highly available applications
