Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled API-Focused Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to join our Agile team. In
this role, you will take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining APIs for an audience builder
application. You’ll independently troubleshoot issues, navigate complex and secure environments, and
always keep the end user’s needs in mind when designing solutions. While your primary focus will be
backend/API work, you should also be comfortable contributing to the UI and collaborating across the
stack.
Key Responsibilities
- API Development & Troubleshooting: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure APIs using Node.js. Independently diagnose and resolve complex issues, especially in highly secure environments.
- End-User Focus: Architect API solutions with a strong understanding of end user needs and application goals.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all API solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance standards, leveraging tools like Imperva.
- Full Stack & DevOps Contribution: Collaborate on UI development (Angular) as needed, and support deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Jenkins,
- CloudFront, S3, API Gateway).
- Agile Teamwork: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Database Integration: Work with MongoDB and Snowflake for data management and integration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, with proven troubleshooting skills in complex, secure environments.
- Proficiency in Node.js and Angular; comfortable working across the stack.
- Experience with AWS (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, IAM), Jenkins, MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of API security and compliance; familiarity with Imperva or similar tools.
- Experience working in Agile teams with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Some experience with Python is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with additional AWS services or other cloud providers.
- Familiarity with serverless architectures.
- Prior experience in a DevOps-focused or SRE role.
- Exposure to ETL pipelines or data analytics workflows.
- Experience working with large-scale data solutions.
